Fathers, Fun & Family

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrates Her Majesty The Queen becoming the first British monarch to serve for 70 years. Brad, Louise and Oliver went to a street party with their family. I spent my time having a garden party in Cleethorpes with my boyfriend’s family. We had bunting, a cardboard cutout of the queen and lots of sandwiches and cakes. We also enjoyed singing along to our favourite songs. Despite some rain, we all managed to get in the spirit to celebrate the Jubilee!

Fathers day is held on the third Sunday of June in the UK and is a day to honour fathers and father figures. At The Happiness Box we have been busy sending out orders for fathers day, and created a fathers day poem which has a wide selection of favourite chocolate bars!

For fathers day weekend I travelled to the Isle of Sheppey for a weekend away which consisted of a long walk along the beach and a BBQ! I saw my dad on Sunday night and gave him his gift.

Brad had a busy weekend because he also celebrated his and Oliver's birthday. Brad’s birthday was on Friday, Louise planned a surprise for him and they went out for a meal where he saw his mum who travelled from Wales and his sister. On Saturday, Oliver had an animal themed 3rd birthday party which was lots of fun.

How did you spend your father’s day?

Spread the happiness, Rachel x
